Every day there will be a new topic in this forum for today's fasters to chat & support each other.
Please don't make extra threads in here besides the daily fasting threads, if you've got a question please post it in the relevant forum or ask in today's 'Fasting Today' thread, thank you.

I hope it's OK I've started this thread already? (Wasn't sure if I should post in the Tuesday thread because of my time zone difference.)
It's Wednesday here, 12.45 pm, and it's my first ever fast day.
I always function best with a good protein breakfast so I planned to eat ALL my calories early in the one meal. Oh yes I'm sure I'll be questioning that wisdom later on this evening...lol.
(It's bound to be a learn by experience kinda journey for me! )
Anyway, I made the most of my morning feeling 'normal' by prepping tonight's evening meal for my family, getting on top of basic housework etc., in case I just feel like going to bed later. My husband plans to come home early from work in case I need extra support too.
I have a bottle of sparkling mineral water, and a thermos of hot water with ginger to keep me going.
Any other mid week fasters out there this week?
:star:
Hi @Starstuff popping into wish you and Wednesday fasters well today. :clover: :victory: I'm off to bed but will come by later. :like: :like: Thumbs up to your husband, nothing better than thoughtful and caring support  :clover:
I'm in today. I always have breakfast, too, but not all my calories, just a soft-boiled egg. I've been hooked on chicken and cabbage stir fry lately so I will have that for dinner. I will add some shiratake (konjack) noodles since I have some and they'll go off soon. [In Japan these noodles come already hydrated, so they have a sell by date]
After much soul searching and discussions with hubby we are both giving this another try. He chose the days so am going for it today. First fast in over a year. Feeling nervous.
Unusually I'm in today but only because its my birthday tomorrow and having an Indian takeaway ( not fast day food)
@Bobshouse good on ya. I had some time off too but easier to get back into it than I though
Thankyou!
Have printed out a sheet with 28 boxes on it. One sheet for each of us. That is how many pounds we both need to lose. We will fill in a box for each pound we lose. It is on the fridge door so cannot be ignored.
Two mugs of black coffee so far and all ok!

I would do the same but I cant afford that much paper lol
@bobshouse and @philxjr youve made my day!
Good to see you both back in the saddle..giddy up!
Good luck all wonderful wednesday fasters. XX
Hi all, I'm in today too for the second fast of the week. Me and my OH are doing 5:2 together, this is week 1 of our third go at it! (Both times before we have got to goal then failed to agree a maintenance strategy)
Have a good one today everybody :clover: :clover:
It's good to see you back, @Bobshouse, and @philxjr and Mr Bobshouse, too, of course! I gave up fasting in October 2013 for three months after I reached target the first time but since then this WOL has been working for me and many others.
A special welcome to @Starstuff on your first fast day and good luck to everyone else fasting today! :clover: :clover:
I'm finally getting the hang of this fasting thing, today I've managed to cram in loads of food for my 500, I'm really learning to make those calories stretch!

Breakfast (1pm): Greek yogurt with pineapple and strawberries
Lunch: Scrambled eggs (three white one yolk) with peppers and tomato
Dinner: Fakeaway pizza (Chia seed wrap topped with tomato paste, cottage cheese and veg.
Snack: Wholemeal rice cake with a smear of almond butter

Oh and loads of tea and water!
Gone well for me too. First in over a year so feeling good. Nothing but black coffee and water since last night. Just prepped loads of veg and coated with balsamic vinegar. In the oven roasting. Hubby will have a fillet of salmon and I will have a veggie burger with the veg. I am already looking forward to my toast in the morning.
@Bobshouse Wow, delighted to see you and hubs back on the forum :like: :clover:  Made my day, big time  Catch you soon.
Wonderful to see so many Wednesday fasters! Hope it's going well everyone.

I completed my first fast day. I had all the calories at breakfast (rather late'ish at 9.30am) after a cup of coffee with cream.
Then I think I had 4 cups of ginger "tea", 4 glasses of water plus 1 litre of sparkling spring water over the course of the afternoon/early evening. I did feel hungry around 3pm and again while cooking dinner for my family. That was tough but my husband helped (and did all the dishes) and I felt better by making my breakfast for Thursday and popping it away in the fridge.
I went to bed early and was asleep by 9.30 pm. Slept a little better than usual in fact.
The balsamic baked veges, and in fact every single thing listed in this thread sound *amazing*......lol I guess food has extra value and appeal when it's not so readily available!
I really enjoyed my breakfast today (Thursday am here already) and I don't really feel more hungry than usual - just more appreciative.
PS forgot to say... :rainbow:  HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Thursday @philxjr ! :rainbow:
Enjoy your Indian!
