So fasting day number two this week..I'm already struggling :frown: ufft done. So well on first fasting day wasn't even bothered that didn't eat ...but today a dif story .....fingers crossed I get through it  x
I will have to see how I cope before I can say whether this will be a fast or not. I fasted Monday and had an accidental fast yesterday as well. So today and Friday are supposed to be my fasting days and I don't want to break the rhythm. If I can manage today as well I will have done 3 back to backs, not normally recommended, but Dr.Varady recommends it for breaking plateaus, which I seem to have been on forever.
Dinner tonight will be yesterdays not eaten pizza (cauliflower pizza base instead of normal dough). Or I might cave in and have it for lunch instead.
As usual I'm in on a Wednesday. Monday went well which is more than I can say for yesterday. I am finding normal days far from normal, I keep eating the wrong type of food and feel rotten after I've eaten it. I am hoping to use lent to break the cycle. Good luck to all.
I'm with you all & willing you on!

Just got back from a beautiful spring walk with my friend & her lovely dog. The sun is in the sky and all's well with the world!

Had 2 totally scrummy pancakes last night....and a cupcake......so must atone for it today, on what will probably be my 2nd of 3 fasts this week.

This forum is such a great support when you need inspiration. The best advice this newbie could give to anyone wavering is: spend time on here, read all the success stories, learn from others & above all......know you are never alone! Whatever days you choose to fast, any number of us are doing it with you. We too are conscious of the slight hunger pangs that come along from time to time....but we also know that they don't build up & up as the day goes on & that they are truly manageable. I always head for the kettle & a hot drink soon sorts things! Plus, keep busy, busy, busy!

Good luck all xx

I'm in. My tummy woke me up at 6.45 to say it was hungry :-(
so I think it is going to be a tough day.
Still the sun is shinning and I took the dog out for nearly two hours.
Massive pile of ironing to keep me busy now.
Happy fasting everyone, hang on in there :-)
I'm in today - this has been a back to back one as I did yesterday as well, but I normally do Mon and Weds and wanted to get back on track as I didn't fast on Monday. Plus I have a feeling tomorrow at work is going to be mega stressful so I don't want not to be able to eat either. I actually feel absolutely fine and not ravenously hungry at all. I don't finish work till 7 and then home by 8 so not eating till then. So far, so good. I don't know about others but I do quite often get a bit of a buzz from fasting days - do others find that?
Come on all, we can do it!
Late check in. Have had a cuppa soup with 1xbread, will have 2 poached eggs with spinach and mushroom on toast later :) x
I don't normally eat during the fast day, but I've had to give in. Had two sesame Ryvita with marmite. Stir fry for dinner.
I'm just starting today - Normally fast Mon/Thur but was on vacation Sat-Tue so today is 1st Fast day this week. Lot of eating on vacation so hoping to get back to normal. I know its going to be hard :(

Suzed - Hope it goes easier for you today. Hang in there.

Also had gone to Phoenix, Arizona for vac and its a wonderful place. Visited Petrified National Park and it is just awesome. To see whole big trees that existed 225 million years ago fossilized into beautifully colored stone was Really Amazing! Sedona is beautiful too.

Cheers everybody!
@I'm a wed girl too. Working on third fast since a long hiatus. With the help of my fasting buddy@Lil I hope to back to losing weight.
Late check in for me too. I may be doing back to back as I have a lunch date of Friday. That's all depending on how I get on today. So might be in tomoz too.
First ever fast day today, banana + orange for breakfast, 26 calorie a pop pancakes x 6 + smoked salmon, lemon + ham for dinner...wondering when to plan my next fast day! Had a few hairy moments but actually could carry on with this until the next day! Staying with the rents so having 1st day off tomorrow then shall plot the next one...
Swapped my stir fry for a wonderful vegetarian curry. It was YUMMY!
Ended up on 800 today... but still less than I would on a normal day after all. Positive thinking :) x
Well this is the first time I haven't completed the fast when I set out to. I did great the whole day until we stopped for dinner instead of coming home. 24 hours between last night's dinner and tonight's food, but I went way over 500 calories tonight. I'm off on a trip for this weekend. l'll just start again next Monday - not beating myself up over it. it's not the end of the world! but I am kind of disappointed in myself. Oh well, next time. Hope you all did better :)
