Friday 29 the Jan fasting
29 Jan 2016, 10:08
Have a great day all fasters. I'm sitting in the garage waiting for my car, linked to wifi, paper to read, been to the gym, got weighed and measured. Very happy and motivated :like: : now only 2 lbs up from before Christmas, no loss of muscle, slightly higher body fat......feel great. Had a hardboiled egg and coffee earlier, loads of suitable drinks available here and looking forward to our dinner, prawns spiced up with green beans. I will feel even better tomorrow ( and weight will go down!) :clover:

It seems that it's just you and me fasting today, @Katherina! I intended to fast yesterday but went to a funeral (only an acquaintance so no emotional involvement) and because my husband was eating out for lunch, I decided to do the same! I had a lovely meal in a pub that I hadn't been to before but that was yesterday's fast day disrupted so today - I'm in!
I have eaten nothing all day and am looking forward to lentil and smoked ham soup for my evening meal followed, if necessary by an egg salad.
We have friends coming for supper tomorrow and I have just started making a Malteser cheesecake which is so ridiculously high in calories that it shouldn't even have been invented! I have manage to crush biscuits and Maltesers without eating any, so that is something of a miracle for me!
Good luck to anyone out there who is fasting but not posting. Onwards and downwards!

My 2nd fast day today. I have my meal plan: some berries and peaches, smoked salmon, small salad with balsamic dressing. Haven't eaten anything yet. That's good for me in a general sense, I'd rather skip breakfast anyway (I'm in Seattle, we are 9 hours behind those of you in the UK).
I had no problem with my first fast day; being in a fasted state didn't seem to register with me. In the evening I wanted food to fill something psychological, boredom, habit, cravings...not sure, but it wasn't actual hunger. I'm trying not to overthink things right now. I'm hoping that my chemical/hormonal/whatever balance will adjust favorably with 5:2 and Paleo.
Can't spend the day on the internet - I'm determined to get more activity in. 25% of my TDEE is only 375 calories! Besides my hands and feet are freezing, and I can best warm them with activity.
Good luck everybody!

I'm in today too, third fast this week - had to go into work for a meeting this morning so medical tests had to be 3.45pm and the required previous 6 hours fasting was 9.45am - 3.45pm - would have been silly not to make today a diet day! And the test result was good - as good as it possibly could have been. So relieved, so happy!
