Friday 5th June fasting today
05 Jun 2015, 07:12
OH and I are on our usual fasting routine, second of the week again today. It IS a routine now after well over 2 years. Almost seems unnecessary to clock in here, and I'm the only one so far.....exercised the dog, teaching later, busy as ever, weather lovely. Breakfast almond milk + coffee frothed up, blueberries and yoghurt. Salmon and dill grilled and with veges tonight. Lots of liquid all day, perhaps iced in hotter weather?!
But just the same it's worth remarking that regularity and no fuss has helped us maintain the early quicker weight loss, and we have even dropped a little in weight over the last months. Wonderful.
Life still chucks all its problems at us but doesn't distract from our eating routine which is still doing a good job all the time steadily in the background ( thoughts of 5:2 are NOT all-consuming) without a doubt keeping us healthier. :like: :clover: hang on in there fellow fasters!
This is such a positive post to read, thank you, it sounds as though you have it cracked! :victory:
I hope you both have a really good day. :like:
Our fastday was yesterday, when we succumbed to a little something with coffee at lunchtime because we went to a cafe, shouldn't have hesitated while ordering drinks. That gave us time to be tempted!
Morning @Katharina I'm in for my usual Friday fast but really determined to have a good one now I have signed up for the summer challenge :-)

It's lovely to hear that 5:2 can become such a part of life that it becomes not something you do but just something that is I shall keep that in mind when I'm next having a bit of a wobbly day !

Weather not looking great here in Sussex this morning promises of thunder bolts and lightening later .. but its all clearing the way for what looks like a lovely weekend , so happy fastday everyone lets have a good fast and a great weekend :-)
Hi, I'm in today, had a weekend away last week so need one, the weight hasn't crept up massively but I have a half marathon next weekend, so losing something would be good.

For some reason I always dread fasting the night before, but once I've started it's not bad at all - anyone else have this?

Good luck to all today :clover:
@Egduf that's me on a Thursday night " Oh no fast day tomorrow ... I'm going to be so hungry , I'm going to make a mess of it , I wont be able to do it " ....

and I never am and I never do
Enjoy a 'healthy version' of an English breakfast yesterday and subsequently didn't eat for the remainder of the day as even though I worked out the calories as best I could and also added on an extra 200 I didn't want to go over TDEE. So nice not to have to prepare the meal and wash the dishes afterwards - usually have a brunch on a Sunday. My second FD this week and scales still showing a downward trend.
Hello, little exclusive group!

Can I join you please? I'm fasting today...as I do Mon/Wed/Fri these days.

Have just been on a 300 mile walk - well that's what it felt like anyway! Was supposed to be a 4.5 mile circular route....but we went wrong at a crucial point.....and promptly added another 3 or so miles! My walking partner has just gone home to check on the internet exactly where we went - can't wait for the post mortem - but in any event, I have walked a flipping long way this morning.....on an empty stomach. Am feeling suitably virtuous and hope that lasts throughout today!

Have a great day all!
I'm chuckling away at your misfortune @hazelnut20
I went for a run a few years ago and took a wrong turn down a country lane.... Got home 2 hours later and was walking like john Wayne :(
I'm not fully fasting today but trying to do a lower calorie day of maybe 800 kcal
Joining as well if that's alright :p (its a gal's prerogative to constantly change our minds, right? Lol, it didn't quite occur to me that today was Saturday so I'm fasting today to keep the weekend free. That's Tues, Weds and Fri for me this week).

I haven't actually weighed myself since I started, and I'm being lazy about measuring even if I shouldn't. This might sound odd, but I keep thinking the longer I go "blind" the more I'll be surprised when I actually do it. As I've mainly been doing ADF and 4:3 what I will say is...damn that's a noticeable difference to my body already! I don't have a stomach anymore...aside from post-fast day bloat :( that sucks.

Anyway, good luck everyone! I might try to get an aforementioned 300 mile walk in too before considering eating today. My dog would love that much exercise I think.
You know its a fast day when .....

You are reading down the threads list and wonder why so many people are Marinading in June 15
12th hour but I was in lol. Successful day for me but I never go over my 500 cals, I find just eating once helps this. Had dinner at 8 so lovely and satiated now.

This is my third fast, annoyingly the scales only moved a few ounces after Wednesdays fast!! That should be outlawed! :frown:

Well done faster, have a great weekend. X
