Well, it's my first fasting day on my second attempt at IF.
Not the greatest start as I have been up on and off since 4:30am and am feeling quite tired and irritable already!
Having said that, jumped on the scales this a.m, and have lost a couple of pounds since last week. Have totally stopped binging on chocolate and crisps and have been eating really healthily for 90% of the time so that's obviously helped!

Had decided on a straightforward fast today, with the 500 cal allowance, but going to start as I mean to go on and not be so rigid so that I start to dislike IF & beat myself up whenever I "go outside the lines": so, I haven't decided yet if I'm going to do a 500 cal fast, a liquid fast or an eating window fast (such as 16:8 or 18:6 etc). Just going to play it by ear, that feels much more comfortable seeing as I am starting out again.

Have a lovely day everyone & I'm sure I'll be back here after work :clover:
Hang in there, Sophie. Gould luck!
Great attitude Sophie! You're an old hand at this so can be relaxed about it. Make 5.2 work for you and get it to adapt to you. Let it bring you ease of living and pleasure! :like:
Good luck Sophie - the good thing about this WOE is you can & should adapt it to suit you. I'm currently having a break( 3 weeks & counting) - first for holidays then stuck home with bad back & not up to fasting but I know I will get back to it. Good luck :clover:
Sophie, YOU CAN DO IT! You KNOW you can so good luck, stop getting upset with yourself if you slip up a little (we all do that!) just keep focussed and 'GO FOR IT!"

Ballerina x
Whatever you decide it's the flexibility which is the key as is finding your particular groove. I find the recipes also help eg the 5:2 diet recipe book, Kate Harrison's and the recipes on this Forum. Wishing you a smooth run, you can do it
I'm still here and still fasting lol - decided on 500 cal fast. So have just been drinking herbal tea apart from at 12 I had a boiled egg, a cup of miso soup and a small coffee with a splash of skimmed milk - I reckon this to be about 100-110 cals(?) and then for my tea I am having a "Glorious" range New York chicken noodle soup which only has 276 cals in the whole thing - can't wait!

Feeling fine, a bit giddy but that keeps coming in waves as I remember it did on my previous attempt.
