Sunday Fast 19th Aril
18 Apr 2015, 22:35
OK I'll start while the DODOs are sleeping...I'm up and in and have had 2 coffees. I'll do 500 to 1000 cals today. Felt shocking on Thursday fasting, like I needed to pass out with tiredness! So will monitor today and act accordingly. Weak sun outside b4 terrible rain predicted so will go walk the boys shortly. Good luck everyone, hope we have a big flotilla of fasters today

I'm in. My plan for today is swimming and maybe gardening.

Good luck Sunday fasters!

I'm in too. Since this DODO challenge experiment I have been very relaxed about truly tracking my fast day calories, whereas with 5:2 I've always carefully counted. Today I'm logging everything in MFP.

They are slow to wake up, GMH. I am in, have been all morning. I had my usual DODO breakfast of tomatoes on 27gm slice of sourdough bread - 65 calories plus 30 calories for the tomatoes and a black coffee. Now, 2pm, I'm having La Zuppa Chicken and Vegetable with Rice soup- just add water, 23 calories a serve. They are starting to all taste the same and too salty. Tonight it will be some kind of egg affair - omelette, frittata, salad- not sure yet. Lovely sunny but cold day here. I need to get out and plant broad beans and snow peas but probably won't make it. I'll make that a high priority for tomorrow.

I'm in today as a DODO. Feels fine to be fasting on a Sunday as this is usual for me.
Had a bit of a wayhay day yesterday so it'll do me good. Like the flotilla of fasters @GMH
Good luck to all:clover:

Good to have you all for company today! Yesterday non fasting, would have been very good till I caved in and went high above TDEE. Great to start another week of 3 fasts with a clean slate. I like the image of cleansing. Tea, tea, coffee, coffee, fizzy water bouillon midday, and yesterday made a big pot of roasted garlic cauliflower soup (I think it was @Rawkaren who mentioned it recently, ) which I'll have tonight followed by an egg salad. I like to have a batch of delicious low cal soup to hand. Last week it was cream of celery. Gardening alongside preparation for school, lots of maintenance needed and watering as no rain is forecast till next weekend. The sun is very warm but the northeast wind is chilly : Swallows have come: House Martins too have arrived and are examining their nests under our eaves: seeds germinating, everything outside sprouting and blossoming. We have more Lily of the Valley showing up and so on, it's a beautiful time of year. Have a great day all! :clover:

I should be, but I'm not, because today is my Mum's 81st birthday & I am taking her out for a picnic! Would you believe, when I asked her what she wanted to do on her birthday, she replied "what I'd really like to do is to go and see some dippers"....She's been my Mum for 52 years & I didn't know she was into birds! Nevertheless, we are off hunting for them a bit later...so please keep your fingers crossed that we see some....

Am planning a back-to-back fast on Monday which will bring me back in line with everyone on Tuesday. Good luck all & I'll see you then!

I'll be heading to bed soon and have come in at around 700 cals, big bowl of pumpkin and cauliflower mash with a dash if butter and mayo to finish. Couldn't finish it, so I'll have it in an omelette with cheese for brekky. Stuffed like a pig I am! Good luck for the rest of your fasts.

Nearly there. Of course, @Katharina, you are right. make up a big batch of low calorie soup and have it on hand during DODO. I will make some beetroot soup tomorrow, in readiness. We had zucchini with mint, chives and feta cheese frittata for dinner and it was very good. I also had just one Anzac biscuit. I made a batch yesterday to my mother's recipe. Very good. Only one. I called it 50 calories - they are very thin,

Uggg, feeling very strange. vaguely achy around my lower back and joints and a bit head light.
Not really hungry though, just weary.
Hope I'm not in for something.
Afternoon on the couch reading and knitting is prescribed, methinks...

I'm in for my first run of 3 DODO's Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday. I'm aiming for 340 cals, a quarter of my TDEE, I normally allow myself 500 cals but when trying to fathom out why I was gaining I realised I'm eating too many cals. Simples! Going the whole hog and replacing milk with lemon in my tea for now. And I've planned the menu for the week, lots of veggies and salads, I've let this slip recently too. Eat more veg. Feel like I've found my fasting head again, let's see.
Happy birthday :cake: to your Mum @Hazelnut20 and @Janeg I hope you feel better soon.
Happy fasting everyone :clover:

Joining the flotilla today! Read in bed till mid-day, which gets lots of the fast out of the way ... now need to get busy on the lots to do.
Good luck Sunday sailors!

Hey all, looks like I may as well call today a fast day instead of doing my usual Monday. I am not hungry at all, have had a handful of peanuts but have no real desire to eat anything else. It is 2:30 pm, may as well go till bedtime at 11 pm and even if I get ravenous I can have some roast chicken cut up in a salad. I think I'll have a cuppa and watch a bit of tv. I'm done all my Sunday chores and have gone for a walk. Quite a cold wind today, heard it roaring in my ears as I walked. There are daffodils, violets and even early tulips blooming. Warms my heart to see them.
Enjoy the day and good luck to all my fellow fasters. :clover:
