Fasting Sat 16th Feb
16 Feb 2013, 09:26
This week has been all over the place, so doing my second fast today. Never done a weekend before, I usually fast on office days with a long commute, so very little time with home temptations. Today I'll be cooking for the kids, which will be a challenge.

The house is a tip, I'm hungover, and already starving. I'm going to be proud of myself tonight, I hope :D

Good luck to other fasters today

I am fasting today too as it has been one of "those" weeks and to be honest I have eaten so much I dont think I ever want to see food again...well...we shall see about that !!!...I had my usual mug of coffee with milk and a teaspoon of sugar this morning and am now drinking cold water...I like to look at fasting days as "cleansing" days as I do so hate the D word...Not a lot to eat in the fridge or cupboard so will see what takes my fancy but first time in my life I can honestly say I need to fast to clean out the system...My attitude to food after 5 weeks has changed enormously which I am thrilled about..I feel amazing..sad that I have only lost 4.5 lbs but I have a lot of weight to lose and am over 60 and I know it will happen. Good luck to all todays "cleansers" !! x x x

Hope you're all having a nice day. I'm still feeling hungover, so having a lazy day, and a mid-day bath - unheard of !

Coping OK with hunger pangs, and getting lots of knittig done, as well as looking after boys, so a nice day, afted a manic week.

I'm fasting today too. Have gone from 8pm last night until 4.30pm today with drinks only. It's been a tough one, but had 350kcal about an hour ago and feeling much better now

Tried the recipe of roasted vegetables on page 147. Has anyone else found that the aubergines didnt get soft? Any tips for next time?
Sticking to 500 - but roll on tomorrow with wine and chocolate, in moderation of course.
