Usual Tuesday fast for me today. All the best to fellow fasters!
Fasting today as absolutely not a hope for the past few days with chocolates everywhere........As I have now eaten everything edible and drunk everything liquid that will not immediately kill me I woke up this morning thanking God that it was all over and I could have water in my porridge for breakfast with a tea spoon of runny honey and a mug of coffee....All I can have all day is enough water to hopefully drown in..then this evening the smallest piece of poached salmon on a bed of steamed spinach (a whole bagfull!!!) with NOTHING ELSE........roll on tomorrow when I wont be very hungry..(I always find the appetite has gone down a bit after a fasting day!) then I will have to fast again on thursday AND again on saturday...I have eaten myself stupid since my birthday last wednesday..I am 65 and should know better...I do not deserve to live...I am a bad influence on my wonderful Grandson..I promise I will NEVER EVER have Amoretto (is this the way to???) again..EVER..I shall now in this beautiful weather..YES!...get outside and do something unforgivable in my neighbours garden.......GOOD LUCK FASTERS...haha!! x x x
Well having ironed a pile of shirts & bed linen plus doing several loads of washing it is time for my fast afternoon treat, a cup of coffee with milk. So far today black coffee, two Bovrils & water so I am now looking forward to my fuller longer M&S supper of Chicken & three mushroom Tagliatelle, 465 cals. I know it has pasta (carbohydrate ) in it but just popping it in the microwave saves me from cooking. Anyone else having a cuppa?
Fasting today; this will be my 7th fast day, although usually a Monday person - like a lot of you, making up for the Bank Holiday Weekend. No real excesses over the weekend, except having G&T all 4 nights rather then the usual 2 weekend evenings!

Haven't put any weight on, but haven't lost either, since last week's weigh-in.

After starting off my 5:2 experience on 11 Mar spreading my 500 cals over the day - mainly 150 cal porridge and a light evening meal, I decided in my second week to save all my cals for the evening meal, which I try to keep plain and light, but don't actually count up the calories, as I cook everything from scratch. I have a couple of black coffees - which is the way I normally drink it anyway - for 'breakfast' and 'elevenses' plus a boullion cube in hot water for lunch, and a peppermint tea at 3pm-ish. So lots of liquid - and usually at least two glasses of water during the day.

Tonight it's leftover veg, white fish and boiled potatoes, layered into an oven dish and baked with a spritz of olive oil over the top. No idea how many cals that will be ...
Fasting again after a week off, just couldnt do it last week as we were knee high in snow and freezing, well that sounds like an excuse but I just couldnt face it. I thought it would be hard to get back into the right frame of mind but so far so good.
Fasting Tuesday, and it'll have to be a 6:1 week due to visitors, but that's fine....as someone said above this isn't stressful because u just change to suit. I'm 3 months into this way of eating and 12lb lighter for it....no turning back.
