Liquid Fast Thurs 9 May

Anyone joining me on liquid only today?

Me! But after some sleep :)
How you find today easy!

Can't find a "wave hello" smilie, so here's a duck instead :duck:
Hunger is fine so far, but I'm FREEZING today. It's about 18 or 19 degrees, but my fingers are so cold I'm finding it hard to type. I think I'm going to suffer in winter. Need to go for a walk in the sun to warm up.

A liquid only day sounds fine by me. Are there restrictions?
Monday (fasting day) I made myself a big pan of chicken soup, and I have the stock frozen for a fastday (for a delicious savory taste). There's barely kcal. in it.
But what do you drink on this day?
Do you create your own vegetable / fruit juices?

Hope someone is awake, hahaha, I can not sleep ...

I'm awake - because it's day time for me though!
I'm going for close to zero calories in my liquid, so mostly water with just a few green teas. So a "proper" fast, rather than the usual 5:2 fast which has up to 500/600 calories. But everyone does it differently. You could have soup and fruit juices, but just remember to count the calories to not go over your fast day allowance.

I can't sleep either Jinta and the birds have started to tweet.

I going to try a liquid fast, I failed on tues but feel like giving it another go as I should be busy today .

Good luck everyone :)

Iam doing my usual 36hr Thursday liquid fast, started 7pm last night.
Like you LindaB the birds woke me early this morning.
Jinta a liquid fast is how you like to define it; many people here think of soup as a meal and not part of liquid near zero calories fast which tends to be how people define liquid fasting.
Many people only have water and herbal teas, I also have tea and coffee with a little milk, otherwise I get headaches.

Good luck everyone with the fast

Haven't tried a liquid fast yet but after looking at the scales this morning :frown: I think tomorrow will be my first.

Don't be despondent Jaffer, the scales can vary a lot over the week, and it takes a while to get used to it.

I've hit 24 hours, and a bit peckish, but nothing major. At that fantasizing about what I'll have for brekkie right now stage... oh, and a few recipes seem to be open on my brower tabs somehow :giggle:

I'm liquid fasting today! This is my 8th fast (6 liquids)
I felt hungry when I woke up and wasn't sure if I could do any sort of fast at all, never mind liquid but after a cup of tea and pint of water I feel fine now and looking forward to the day!

Ha! Glad I'm not the only person who starts to fantasise about breakie towards the end of a fast day!

I'm joining you, as well. Although I am not positive I'll make it...it is only 7:00 in the morning and my stomach is already growling!

I am new to this, fasted once last week with 500 cals, and on Monday I did a liquid fast. Monday was easier than I had anticipated, but it was also after the weekend, so I had been eating!

I hope you are all having an easy day of it. I will be checking in throughout the day for inspiration.

I'm in... my first liquid fast, and as I'll be busy at college tomorrow morning, it's gonna be a 42er fast! I'm feeling motivated and inspired! I've been wanting to try a liquid only fast for months now, and have just kept putting it off thinking I'll never do it, but as the day progresses it feels more do-able! Lots to keep me busy so that's helpful. And I started a progress journal today as I really need to get serious in order to reach my goals; I've been having some bad fasts i.e., giving up, and overcompensating on non-fast days and undoing ALL of my hard earned progress! I've had enough of that now! I'm hoping that in monitoring my progress, including set-backs, I'll have more awareness about when and how it goes wrong so that I can work through whatever I learn about myself and finally manage my self-sabotaging tendency!

20 hours done :p
Had a very busy and exhausting day at work, but I'm determined to stick to this!

I successfully did a 36 hour water fast on Tuesday but I think I'm gonna need some juice/soup today :(

10:00 am here. I love seeing posts from all of you hours ahead of me, getting closer to the end of the day...it makes me feel so hopeful somehow!

I started the day unsure I would stick to it today, but so far so good. A cup of tea before I came to work. A cup of herbal tea and some water have kept me busy and out of trouble at work. I bought a diet ginger ale on my way in, for lunch if I need it.

I am planning to go to the gym after work. I bought a new heart rate monitor that I am excited to try. Then when I come home it will be evening.

I am trying to maintain that calm fasting feeling.
