Have a lovely holiday Claire! Don't beat yourselves up if you don't fast, or maybe just cut amounts a bit? Share the cake? :clover:

You are on holiday Claire! Relax, enjoy, if you want the cake have it (or half of it). Play it by ear. If you feel you have eaten a bit much one day, can you do a half fast the next (miss breakfast?). The joy of this WOE is the flexibility- and to be sustainable it needs to work for you- no guilt and mucho enjoyment.
Have fun.:)

Thanks both, that's really helped! The only thing that worries me is that my body has adjusted to fasting after nine fasts and I don't want to ruin all my hard work and it be really hard to fast next week! We did consider having a mini fry up this morning then a healthy ready meal for dinner

I would think that your body is adjusting by wanting smaller portions and fairly healthy stuff, so that shouldn't be too of a problem :)
Not sure about not fasting and then getting back on track- I haven't done that (yet- never say never)
Maybe do a wee search and see if others have managed and if they have any tips?
and enjoy yourselves. Where are you on holiday?

Aww cute dogs, looks like a lovely place. I am fasting today so the first thing I noticed in the photos are the cakes and biscuits :) but I'm ok I can have some tomorrow. Enjoy your holiday.

I found it fairly easy to fast after 2 weeks off on holiday and it took about 2weeks to re loose the 3lbs I put on

It looks lovely.
I had a two week holiday in France in March, and I failed to fast, but I had no difficulty getting back into fasting when I got back. In fact, I felt really ready for a fast. I also found that I gained very little weight, when normally two weeks in France would see me gain at least half a stone, so I would say, just enjoy your holiday, fast if you feel like it, but it won't be a big deal if you don't.

Your holiday place looks lovely! (and your dog is very sweet)I find it harder to stick to my low calorie days on holiday too. (I am off to Paris next week)I tend to remind myself that I can have things like cake the next day. It helps me, hope it helps you. have a brill holiday!

That looks lovely Claire, hope you have a nice relaxing time with the doggies. You know what made me laugh? The empty cake stand with the knife on standby just in case one should appear. Go on, you know you want to, it'll give you renewed vigour for fasting when you get back :like:

I'm going to be watching how you do. Had one short two day holiday in April and missed a fast, over indulged and put on weight. I lost it again the week after, but I'd rather that didn't happen again. It was easy to get back on the fasting though - in fact it was a bit of a relief.

Self catering will make it easier I think - you can certainly make healthier choices. Norfolk is lovely - we went there last year.

I think you need to play it by ear, and just see how you go. You are on holiday so you need to enjoy it. Your body is still adjusting to fasting, but I wouldn't worry if you miss a week.

Our main family holiday isn't until August, but we'll be self catering for a fortnight (first time abroad in 5 years - woohoo!) I'm not sure I'll be able to fast during that period, but I've decided I might go for missing breakfast (I don't fancy it much these days) and then just see how each day pans out. On my fast days now, I just eat in the evening as I find that my 'hunger switch' is affected if I eat a breakfast and I find the day goes harder than if I skip breakfast.

Gorgeous dogs! Enjoy your holiday, and try not to stress about food. If you don't fast, I'm sure I will be easy enough to get back into it once you're back home.

I had a two week holiday in France in March, and I failed to fast, but I had no difficulty getting back into fasting when I got back. HI
I am just back from 2 weeks in mexico where we had fruit / omlette for breakfast and a normal meal and a few beers in the eveining - i hopped on scales today as i couldnt wait till weigh day and found i had stayed the same when normally two weeks would see a gain at least half a stone
so enjoy your holiday eat what you fancy and all the walking should help keep you on track - have yet to fast as normal day is tuesday but havent as yet had any breakfast and feel as if i could easy turn today into a fast
