Hi I've been on the 5:2 for 3 weeks and lost 6lb easily but can anyone tell me if it seems better to fast for longer periods rather than breaking your 500cals into 3 smaller snacks.

Hi and welcome. It doesn't matter how you eat your calories. Some on here like me prefer to save it until evening then we can eat a larger meal. That's a great weight loss so if you are happy with what your doing stick to it.

Hello gailliewis1b and welcome. Like wineoclock says it doesn't matter and if it's working for you go with it.
There is some evidence that the longer fasts are more beneficial health wise - the 5:2 lab has threads on this. There also is a tendency for some fasters to move towards one meal after doing it for a wee while.
Do what feels aright and works for you and well done on what you've achieved so far :like:
