For those who do a liquid fast on your fasting days, do you do only no calorie liquids? Like coffee but no cream or do allow some calories, just not up to the 500/600 level? I am trying this today and wondering what you all try to do. I know it is ultimately my choice of course, I am just curious and also want to know what is working for you. Thank you!
Personally I have tap water, sparkling water and herbal teas. At the moment I am having a treat - a diet Dr. Pepper. I don't like coffee and I drink tea without milk anyway but if I took milk in tea/coffee I would still have it as I wouldn't be able to drink something I didn't like but would keep it to a minimum to keep the calories down.
I just count the calories in the drinks. I have a very small glass of juice first thing, several coffees with skimmed milk and sweeteners, one hot choc from the machine at work which I have to allow a lot of calories for, but which makes my day :D, one 100cal cup a soup. Then I have a light veg and protein meal in the evening.
Hi just started the diet on monday today is my 2nd fast going well so far! Am hoping to lose the stone and a half i cudnt shift all thru my 20s! Any advice wud b very much appreciated
I do just water and green tea, although have also had some crio bru (basically using roast cacao beans like you do coffee) but all come in with negligible calories. On non fast days, I drink loads of tea with milk, but quite happy to have a change on fast days.
I drink black coffee, water and diet Pepsi! That's it!
Thank you all for your input. I am trying to stick to low calories stuff like black coffee and water. Will have some veggie broth later too I think. Trying to break a dreaded plateau.
