Good luck if you're fasting today. Remember to drink plenty of water. :)

This is my first day ever of fasting, I love to eat & exercise and am a bit concerned (as my metabolism is high & sugar quite low) that I will feel awful - any tips or thoughts much appreciated...

I'm fasting today.

I'm taking the dog to Hampstead Heath so I'll have a good walk (up Parliament Hill :| ) so I hope I won't be starving when I get back.

Drink plenty of water, especially if exercising. Also, salad will fill you up and is low calorie.

Yes, I'm fasting today. I'll (hopefully) survive the day on vitamin water & 2 mugs of bovril, then a dinner of M&S fuller longer something or other. Need to go down to M&s which I suppose isn't ideal! I'll put blinkers on, grab my ready meal & go! Fish pie & chicken in red wine are very nice! Will add some mange tout if the calories allow. Happy fasting and don't forget, you can eat again tomorrow xx :P

Just what the others have said... Lot's of water and black tea (if you can drink it). Another member said that a bovril/stock cube 'convinces' that you are having more for very little calories. I also like the sugar free jelly as 8 calories a portion it's the 'cheapest' calorie pub I can find!

Good luck x

Have just had black tea with lemon. Normally it's with milk and sugar, so want to make a Bovril drink to take the taste away. Thanks for the suggestion. Looking forward to the Thai steak recipe tonight, page 159.
Off to make that drink!
