hi
I'm in second fast of the week. Usually do Thursdays but the kids are off tomorrow so going out for lunch. Not doing too bad and drinking loads of water too. Venison (on offer at tesco!!) and bok choi for tea although not sure what sort of sauce/drizzle to use to go with it
I'm fasting today. Back on it this week after a couple of weeks of slacking (although still doing a fair bit of 16:8). I usually have lunch and tea but I'm going to see if I can hold out til teatime today so I can eat something a bit more substantial!Fasting is definitley getting easier, I never thought I'd be able to do it as I'm the kind of person who usually feels terrible if I don't eat regularly but your body just seems to get used to it.
So...... today goes from fast day to 16:8. Why ? Because I am in pain since last night, I can't smoke, can't drink coffee or tea and if I don't eat someting,I will go crazy nuts in a minute.

Fasting today fast3 , lost 4lbs this first week, unheard of for me and I found it easy! Just made a batch of ratatouille , a portion tonight and freezing the rest, so its a no brainier on the next fast day( fasting Mondays and Wednesdays. Do I have to eat all 500 cals, unsure if I don't then this lump of a body might go " hey she's starving me!). Have 89lbs to go, ahhhhhh.

;-) no you don't need to get to the 500
My second day also this week and my first week doing it but so far actually enjoying it and have loads of energy. Really hope is works but certainly scales showing results positively at moment. :)
omg i'm struggling big time today. its half 3 and all i want to do is eat. the slim asoup for lunch isn't working and i am really really really hungry
I'm fasting. Had 2 black coffees (one with a little coconut oil). I planned on having my porridge at noon to break my fast, but if I'm still not hungry, I may put that off til later on. I have a tiny bit of a tummy ache from all that I ate yesterday. I guess that "binge" was good for something. :dazed:
Still going. Starting to get hungry though. Morning went quickly, just had sparkly water but after lunch now I want to eat ...

Am planning chicken and salad for tonight so just have to stay strong for another 2 hours.

Why is the morning always easy and then the afternoon becomes a drag...
Today's my second fast of the week (I count my weeks as Sun through Sat). Sundays at home are easier to handle since I don't need to rely on my brain. ;) But the weekday fasts, like today at work are still hard. This is my 4th week on 5:2 and I'm still not enjoying the fast days. T__T;; The days just seem very long ahead of me and 500 cals just adds up so darn quickly! But I have some broth and celery with me at my desk at work and will have some turkey with a big bowl of greens for lunch. Should get me through most of the day! (I also know I'm not the kind who can only eat once on a fast day...not a chance!) Good luck to us all and in the end it's worth it!
Managed to hold out all day so just had a 500 calorie fast feast! Bacon, scrambled egg and a cupcake case of Milky Way stars! Not the most nutritious but was delicious!
Hello all

I've come on here instead of cleaning the kitchen floor, trying to fill what has felt like a huge chasm of time until I can put my tesco pizza in the oven (485 cals & doesn't look too dry or tiny). Felt that being virtuous for fasting was enough - can't be virtuous and clean the kitchen floor too I might explode from virtuosity (if that's even a word!?) Blimey I'm hungry.

Right, it's surely time to put the oven on soon - that's one step closer to actually eating something! I like to try and eat around 7pm, makes the hours til bed seem a bit shorter.

Might go look on Pinterest to waste a bit more time...
Nearly done, Tom-Yum mushroom soup with slim noodles at 2.30, Prawn Salad for dinner, a couple of sugar free Werthers candies along the way, now looking forward to some strawberries and Activia. Still just about enough for a small Options hot choc at bedtime.
It has been so odd doing different days this week, completely unsettling, I feel like tomorrow should be friday.
Good luck to tomorrow's Thursday fasters :clover:
greenmonster I'm with you on the kitchen floor issue
I ended up fasting today. Seemed to forget breakfast, then was busy all day, was offered cakes/biscuits at a book thing this afternoon when I realised I'd missed lunch, so I said no thank you and waited it out till tonight. Yummy spicy prawn in rice thing I do with veg, then two squares of chocolate. Job done with plenty virtuosity and NO floor cleaning @greenmonster and @SianS
Did it! Fasted from 6am Wednesday until 6pm Thursday :D Rewarded myself with a delicious tuna pasta bake and some cheesecake. Admittedly maybe a tad too much cheesecake, but got another fast on Saturday so hopefully I will appease myself!
