Tuesday Fast 27th April
27 Apr 2015, 21:20
Well after last weeks horror I haven't fasted in over a week, so in again. However since I am still behind the 8 ball with food i.e nothing cooked and frozen, I shall make it a 500 to 1000 cal fast and hope I have time today to buy and cook veg. Good luck fellow fasters.

I'm on my way home and doing OK. Have a bit of veg curry left will have that after a coffee and later an 8 cal hot choc. Haven't replaced much food since my 4 day power outage and quite frankly nor do I have much time to do it. Bring on the weekend!

I need to make amends for a couple of indulgent enjoyable days! I'm glad to be so sure this will work. Good luck @GMH and @Wineoclock and all others getting up to their fasting day. :clover:

I'm in today, but have a streaming cold and am feeling weedy.
I've raided the freezer and found some squash soup and a Quorn and veg chilli, which seem to fit the bill in terms of fast day comfort food.
*sniff*

OK it's 11AM here in the US on the East Coast and while I am not usually hungry by now - I am starving!!! Probably becuase I know I am not supposed to eat. The mind plays awful tricks some times. Was going to try and make it to dinner without eating but think I may have some soup broth at lunch! I need something!!!! lol.

I'm in. I really bungled up yesterday's "fast" so I am trying again. @Somica we are in the same time zone I believe and I am also wanting to eat although I'm not all that hungry. I have to confess I had a few, ha, about a dozen, teaspoons of Campbell's tomato soup which I made for my son. He has a sore throat and wanted something hot and soothing. So there goes about 30? calories. Good luck all! :clover: :clover:

@stephd - I ate some food!

I made a spinach and celery salad with red wine vinegar as dressing. When I put it into my fitness pal it said calories are around 36 calories. And then I ate around 12 oz of turkey soup broth I got in the cafeteria. My app calculated it at around 89 calories - but I am guess it was closer to 120-150. So I ate about 200 calories at lunch. But honestly I feel soooo much better. And the salad was really the highlight! That little bit of roughage did me well!

I think I am going to try and find Miso Soup packets so I can have them at the ready and know how much I am eating. It's a process, right?

This is probably TMI - but also took some naked pics of myself this morning. And if that wasn't cheat deterrent I don't know what was. Helps crystalize why I am doing this...

Hope you day is goin well!

Food for the day eaten, and I'm looking forward to an early night. Hope I sleep better than I have done after recent fasts.
Good luck to those still fasting :clover:

So... Ended up with 805 calories for the day. Not the 500 I had hoped to stick to. What did me in was making dinner for my husband. :-(. It was a played meal and each serving was 680 calories. I meant to eat half of that but ended up eating the whole serving. I guess the 805 is better than the 2000-3000 I usually eat during the day. So that is a good thing and not complete failure. I am looking forward to trying again this Thursday. :-). I am going to stick to the 5:2 for 6 weeks as suggested. Hope I get better at it! Lol.

Hi @Somica, good for you for not throwing in the towel and going all out. When I go over I tend to think, in for a penny in for a pound and then I'm in big trouble, like yesterday's failed fast. Today has been much better. I had a salad, boiled egg, orange and half a cob of corn for my mid-afternoon meal which kept me full until 7 when I had a small piece of chicken, beets, carrots and spinach. Wasn't nearly enough to fill me up so had a banana. That took me up to the 500 cal line but I gave in and just ate about 40 calories of plain yoghurt. Now I have an hour and 15 minutes till bedtime, yup, I'm counting the minutes  I REALLY want to eat. My son is watching 2012 and I am not able to focus on it and have seen it so many times. What to do, what to do? I tried reading and that was as successful as watching the movie. Another walk?

I'll get it figured and I WILL make it till my 11 pm bedtime!
Have a lovely night.
