I have been aiming for around 1200-1400 a day (prior to 5:2). My alottment is 1900+. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled for the extra calories because I'm HUNGRY on feed days. Is my shock at the high calorie count a result of being brainwashed by WW & MFP dieting all these years (and not losing)? Also, am I supposed to be this hungry on feed days?
It passes. Remember the calorie restriction restrictioncomes from the fast days so it averages out over the week.
Eat them, enjoy them and lose weight.
The feed day hunger will pass, I get those days when I feel I am looking for that elusive food thing, never find it, so just eat everything incase that was the thing I was wanting. Doesn't work and I just go to bed bloated......and then I fast :)
Remember the figure given here is just a 'guesstimate', individual metabolisms vary and it could be wrong by as much as 30%. You should eat 'normally' on a non-fast day. If you feel that this calorie allowance is much more than normal, and you have maintained your weight in the past with your 'normal', I would stick to that and don't start over-eating because the figure here tells you to.
