Short Term Illness Results
20 May 2013, 08:52
Just thought I'd mention here that I have only been able to fast once in the last 3 weeks, today being my second.
Now normally I would only get on the scales at the end of the month but out of curiosity I weighed myself this morning...lost 1 pound, so don't be dismayed it does'nt always mean disaster if you cant fast.
I have however been increasing my ceraeal and fruit intake, like 2nd nature now I love my fruit !

Bee, comments like yours are so helpful, although most times we do fast twice a week sometimes it just isn't possible, but I find that I am making healthier choices on the other days and I think this overall approach is more sustainable.

Yes, I had really bad cold so missed 2 fast days, as wanted to get better & felt dreadful. Missed one on one week & 2nd on the next week, so fasted once each week rather than twice. Seemed to kickstart things again & I lost a lb too.
