What an awesome idea. I would like to suggest some ideas for the list of hashtags. Hopefully, that is okay here.
Code: Select all
#recipes #scale #tweaks #ADF #43 #thyroid #insomnia #insulin resistance #supplements #stall #plateau #weighin #fastbenefits or maybe just #benefits #hack #100calories #lowcarb #paleo #hungermanagement #horizon #maintenance #TDEE

I really love this idea!
Fab idea Moogie, especially as now that we have so any members, particular threads vanish into the depths very quickly. :like:

(I sometimes wish that people would continue a thread rather than starting a new one with almost/exactly the same title.)
Hashtag, smashtag...

These --> # used to be called pound-signs or even octothorpe but are just another subtle example of how languages change over time.

Did you know that ! and * are pronounced as bang and splat in the formerly important data-entry world?

But not by anyone in the UK I think, because we know they're not  and our keyboards can do proper £ signs!

Oh dear - drag me into the 21st century, someone, please!
Being a musician, I always thought of # as a sharp. (and to type it on my mac, I had to do alt 3 - i.e. the £ sign!
I've always known that symbol as hash, but to me it represents an internal anchor point marker in an HTML document, so I always hated 'hashtags' as to me and any other webdev out they they are internal anchors. Guess we don't have much say in how language evolves though!
Oh, fish cakes... I must be suffering from a severe deficit in grey-matter functioning as however I type @moogie (or izzy or xxxx) it doesn't convert to a link. I thought it might be my strict settings on Firefox but this is from Chrome and still no luck. I've even tried copying the link in and bunging an @ in front and various permutations and combinations with hashes. It's something simple / obvious I'm sure but *sorely embarrassed* help please?!!!
@FatDog When you want to tag someone with the @ symbol, you'll need to be in "full editor" and highlight the name you want tagged then click "tag" :)

Or type in [ tag]persons name[/tag] (but without the space between the [ and the t) if the name corresponds to a user you get the proper tag, thus: @FatDog
Oooh thank-you both @carorees and @Betsysgr8 - sorry not to reply earlier but was hitting those too-many-users errors whenever I tried to login / look at anything until just now! Cheers, FatDog.
I tried posting #sixteeneight in a blog reply and it wouldn't convert to a link, do hashtag's work in the blog section?
