FastDay Revamp!

by Moogie » 07 Apr 2016, 11:43

Hi all :)

It's been a long while since we first decided the site needed a bit of sprucing up - and in that time other things have come up and had to be taken care of first. However, we're now ready to look at giving the site a fresh new look. :victory:

I'd love a few regulars to be involved in the revamp, giving opinions and ideas so if you'd like to help out just reply to this topic and let me know! If a lot of folk want to help out I may have to pick just a few of you to be on the team, [...]

Calorie counting just got a whole lot easier!

by Moogie » 07 Aug 2015, 09:45

If you're looking for an easier way to count calories, read on...

I recently got the chance to try out the SITU smart kitchen scales and I must say I love them!

The scales themselves are neat looking, no bigger than a regular kitchen scale and in a lovely white finish (which matches my kitchen beautifully). But they don't just look smart, they are smart! Through the power of Bluetooth they connect to your iPad (and soon Android tablets too) to make calorie counting an absolute doddle. Put fo [...]

We've got a new board :)

by Moogie » 25 Jun 2015, 16:37

Hi all,
I spotted a topic the other day which I can't believe I missed for so long! It was a suggestion for adding a new board specifically for fasting window methods like 16:8 and Fast-5. What a thoroughly jolly good idea! We've been FastDay for a while now but hadn't thought to change some of the many 5:2 specific names and references.

So, we've now got a lovely new forum for Fasting Windows!

I need to try to find any relevant posts to move to it as it's looking a bit e [...]

Win a place on the Fast Start Program :)

by Moogie » 20 Mar 2015, 14:06

As you may recall, @carorees has been hard at work on the Fast Start Program over at waysofeating.com
Well, after extensive testing & trial runs, the Program is now ready to officially launch to the public!

The Program is designed to guide you into 5:2 intermittent fasting, teaching you loads of useful stuff along the way. There's a lot more to it than that, but of course you can read about it on the Ways of Eating site.

It's an ideal plan for new fasters who need that bit of extra support [...]

Last chance to register for FastStart, just 4 places left!

by Moogie » 16 Jan 2015, 16:27

Wow! The response to the FastStart program launch has been really great and I'm so relieved that the majority seem to understand that some people need this sort of structured program to get started. It's not a 6 week quick fix, fad diet. This is a way to really teach people how to fit fasting into their lives. There are so many things we can learn online for free - languages, art techniques, science... but sometimes what we really need is to attend a class and learn that way. This is what FastSt [...]
