2-year fastiversary
01 Apr 2015, 14:02
I almost forgot that today it's 2 years since I started 5:2! Like @Wendy Darling I feel a little embarrassed that it's been so easy for me. I so admire those for whom it's hard but who persevere.

I met my interim goal of losing 10 pounds rather quickly and then maintained for a while before deciding that 135 was a nicer number than 139. So I now maintain around the goal--lately usually a pound or two above. But I can still wear my smaller-size clothes and feel good, so what's a couple of pounds?

Like others I've changed my eating habits by virtually eliminating potatoes, rice, pasta and white bread--to me they are so bland that I see no reason to waste carbs and calories on them--I save the c's for things I really like: dark chocolate, ice cream, etc. I also eat as much meat, eggs, cheese, butter, etc. as I want. It'll be interesting to see what my blood work looks like when I go for my annual well-visit in a few months.

Best of luck to everyone in this wonderful world of intermittent fasting :clover: :clover: :clover:

Copied from the other Fastiversary thread......
I've just been reminded by@Sallyo that I just had my own Fastiversary and am now officially in the 3rd year!! Hers is coming up in a few days too!! I'm amazed that my weight has stayed down all this time and my body is trim slim! Thanks are due to a steady 5:2 routine and a supportive, loving and informative forum. Still working at trying to reach a theoretical goal(only about 4 lbs to go) before maintaining officially. It's really an "emotional" goal, but I'm very happy anyway with they way things are.
So warm congratulations to everyone else at this stage. It's well worth persevering and has to continue ! I'm not going back to the old ways, why would I want to? :like:
