OH, yes, I was so pleased to hear this--I thought they gave the impression, though, that one must fast all day before eating the one meal of the day--made it seem a little inflexible.
Cool. Maybe this will eventually catch on in the US...

And I thought they said to have an early dinner (and then feed the kids!) and then not eat till breakfast at 8 - that is, not eat for an entire 15 hours. Gasp! I hardly think that sounds challenging. If you aren't an evening snacker, that's a pretty normal schedule.
But then they said that second day you should be eating only about 600 calories. So they really were describing 5:2.
It was a similar article on NPR a few months ago and then a re-post recently (prior to the one today) that made me learn about IF. I found out about this site through the article and started with the eating window last week and 4:3 yesterday.

I posted about this on my FB page and a cousin told me she a few members of her family do a version of it.

I hope this works well for me to lose the last 50 lbs and go into maintenance. It's early days so far, but I haven't been any hungrier on the fast days I've done than I usually am when I graze and eat small meals all day with my usual number of calories.
