General 5:2 and Fasting Chat

Think I need some helpful tips for next week. My schedule tells me that I have four business lunches, one business breakfast and a dinner out next week. I'm used to eating out for work, but the thought of navigating this lot is already stressing me out. :curse:  This leaves me with tomorrow for a fast day (plan to do a 36 hour liquid fast), and I might be able to do a 5:2 on Friday as I will probably get to choose where we eat and I could probably eat my calories in one light meal. I suppose I could have fasted today but I didn't want to do a back to back and its not really fair on the family on a Sunday.

Advice anyone?
I agree with gillymary, just catch up the following week. We are in this for life and are entitled to a few glitches. Best of luck x
Try 16:8 where you can. So the lunch dates could be combined with dinner, but no breakfasts and the dinner could be combined with a lunch or even be a normal day.
Don't stress about it, stress slows down weight loss.
Yes agree with gillymary and Julie here - do your day tomorrow, then don't worry if you can't fit in another this week ... 16:8 where you can, but if not, don't let it get to you! Next week is another week ...
You are all right. Better not to stress about it and just do my best. Thank you. Feel better already. And in the grand scheme of life this should be no biggie really. No doubt the scales will tell the tale.
Agree with the others - try 16:8 if and when you can, and don't stress!

What's the worst that can happen? You might put on a lb or two, if that - many of us have had a week of unbridled eating due to life happening and didn't put on any weight. But say you do - well, you know you can lose it again once normal eating patterns resume.

This is the sustainable WOL, remember? Good luck!
