I really fancy sushi for tea tonight but I've already used up near 800cals on lunch today and don't want to go above my TDEE as I am eating out tomorrow. (1700)
Can someone have a look at this pic and guess what you think it would be, as that is exactly what I'm craving.

What's the prize for the right guess?
Eat it. It looks great.

A WOE is worthless if you have to worry about one meal.
Haha what would you like Debs?
Oh I want to simcoeluv! But there is also no point in going over my TDEE. I'm not big so I do need to be careful.

Just eat it. It's not as though you want to blow your calories on junk food!

I don't think it would take you over 1700 anyway, but that's just an educated guess.
I've eaten SO clean this week because I really wanted a good couple of weeks so I could get down to 10st11/10lb when I next get on the scales. I don't want to ruin my good work. I know I sound obsessed but I've hovered around the 11st mark for weeks now and I'm getting fed up. :(

Having a quick perusal on Myfitnesspal I would hazard a guess at 250 calories.

But the others are right if its what you really want then go for it. But I understand your frustration.

The other option is to try rice paper rolls - full with veg you can eat a few and not feel too guilty.
Thanks Al. Yeh I get that it's all well and good people saying 'eat what you like' but as I say, I am eating out tomorrow and obviously too many days going over TDEE a week are going to result in no loss.
I have just re-worked out my TDEE and am now getting 2 x trackers saying 1819 and another saying 1772 so I'm going to have it tonight.
I have also stayed off of the booze all week which is very good for me!

Lil Smiler I eat sushi like this twice a week on my non fast days and don't worry about the cost. I'm still losing the average or above 400 gms once I came off my plateau so go for it.
Enjoy, it's such lovely fresh food!
I will :) it's my Friday night treat rather than wine/kebab haha
Not that you should need to bother, it's healthy food and you're not fat.

But, interesting question still.

Sashimi is of course superior, or you can possible order it "naruto", which means with cucumber instead of rice, brown rice might also be possible. Sushi rice is probably very unhealthy carbs, loaded with extra sugar and who knows what.

Don't eat anything crunchy, it's usually deep fried and perhaps not all that great, you can just as well have french fries instead, but of course "tempura" sounds more sophisticated.

Have miso and plenty of wasabi and pickled ginger, it'll keep you from overeating.

If you're a nice person and care about the environment, perhaps you can live without those shrimps.

Stay away from the americanized versions, they've done their best to make it less healthy (except if you're a low carb person who can eat as much mayo and fat as you please).

Calories are from 140-372 per roll, this link seemed reasonable enough, http://www.realjock.com/article/1723
even if I don't subscribe to all this hysteria about "sodium". If it's too salty, have more water and dilute it, duh..
