BMR Question???
28 Jan 2014, 17:46
I read somewhere that we shouldn't eat under our BMR amount
Obviously we do on fast and repair days...but on feed days - has anyone else read that this is true?
Also, my BMR ( and TDEE) comes up differently on different trackers..which to believe?

Oops! According to the 5:2 calculator, my BMR is 1285 - and that's now... at my lighter weight. When I started to lose, I set my calorie allowance at 1200 per day - although because of 5:2 over a week this worked out at 1480 on my normal eating days. And I never ate back my exercise calories from poo-picking every day or running. I never felt weak or light-headed so I guess I was lucky to get away with it.... and when I had tweaked and fine-tuned what I was eating for those calories, I regularly lost 1.5-2lbs a week.

BMR - Basal Metabolic Rate

In other words lying in bed, breathing and doing nothing else.
