I have been back on 52 about six weeks now. One thing I have noticed is that I never feel physically hungry on any day at all. I do eat because I am supposed to but I wonder if I am getting enough calories on the feast days. I do not seem to be losing lately either. Anyone else have this experience?

You might want to count calories for a week or two and see where you are at! It might help to eat a little more.
It would be a good idea to keep a log. But my true question is...why eat if you are not hungry?
Hi @clairemarieBesides the health and weight-loss benefits of this WOE is the ability to discover a better, healthier relationship with food. I don't think there is ANY reason to eat if you are not hungry. Not because it is a certain time of the day, not because someone else is eating, not because there is food in front of you.
I agree that tracking your calories is a good idea. More often than not, it is more than you think. I wouldn't get too caught up in making sure you reach you TDEE. If you are trying to lose weight and doing 5:2 properly, don't eat "just because".
I have found since being on this WOL, I try to eat only when I have real hunger and have found that I don't eat the volume of food I once did. I like the feeling of being truly hungry before eating and don't fear hunger any more.

No, it's funny isn't it. I used to eat 3 bowls of cereal when bored or when the craving came...now I still get the cravings but can't eat more than one bowl. Just as well too!

Thanks for your insight Judith. Yesterday was a fast day so today it is understandable not to be hungry. My brain has been driving me crazy about whether to eat because its time or not eat until I feel hungry. I forced a new god awful breakfast lentil recipe for breakfast and a pineapple smoothie for lunch. Seeing as though I really really want to lose my last thirty quickly I think I will wait for hunger before I eat.
Yes Bean 52 really controls the appetite for sure. I just want my physical hunger to control my food intake not my brain thinking something might be nice, or that would be good, or it's time.
@clairemarie That's the biggest lesson learned by me
All my life I've eaten when it was "time" to eat x 3 meals daily not any more, because I got up the mornings after fastdays not hungry I skipped breakfast now most of my normal days are more like 18:6 plus when lunchtime comes I just have small snack, I'm listening to my body for the first time in my life and from now onwards I don't eat when someone tells me to whatever time of day I eat when my body tells me its time

We should actually ONLY eat when we're hungry. That's what Paul McKenna taught me (or hypnotised me!) and it definitely worked...for a bit! He said that it was ok to leave food on the plate. That was a real shock for me. Leave food? Moi?

Thanks Sue, I have also been ruled by the clock along with the Food Pyramid. Not sure if the Pyramid is the same in Europe but here its something like 6-8 grain servings. It might solely be responsible for my obesity!
Bean, I can still hear my parents telling me to clean my plate 'just think of the poor children in Africa'. Maybe this comes from the depression times. I don't know but it is a hard habit to break.
