Fasting in the summer months
18 Sep 2013, 05:58
I get a bit grumpy and forlorn the night before a fast, so I am hoping fasting will be easier as I approach spring/summer. I started April this year, so it was little cold not a lot.
I'm thinking being warmer and sunny would make it easier.

Would love to hear your experience. Ta.
I started in March in the UK, and definitely prefer fasting in the summer. This is mainly because I'm a cold mortal on a normal winter day, and an even colder one on a fast day, and while I've read this is good because I'm burning fat, it doesn't feel it!

Summer foods also tend to lend themselves better to low calorie eating, I feel slightly less inclined to eat loads of carbohydrate in warm weather.
Sunshine makes everything better!

I hope you find it easier too...
I found it much harder in the summer. I can not tolerate the heat and shrink away from the sun. I loved in my youth but it does not love me now. Give me a rainy overcast day or better yet a snow storm and I am a very happy girl. The heat over the summer brings more convenience foods and hamburger buns, ice cream. And did I forget to mention the water retention.
I find it harder to drink lots of water when it's colder. Have had to switch to teas etc.

I forgot shivering burns calories. Oh well every cloud has it's lining.
I found it easier in the summer. I was happy to eat more salads and less stodge. Now it's cooled down a bit I am dreaming of creamy mashed potato and goulash and all sorts of things that are not conducive to losing weight.
Thanks guys, looking forward to easier fasting, its spring here
