Feel fat and frumpy today :-(
31 Jan 2015, 16:00
Hello all
Feeling fat and frumpy today because I have put on a couple of pounds this week and its my own fault, i have done two fasts this week because Im still trying to get my xmas weight off.
The reason I have put weight on I think is a pizza and midget jems sweets I had this week( my 1st pizza since I started this WOE over a year ago) and I have a sweet tooth :-(
I am 10 stone 3and half pounds now and my TDEE is almost 1500 cals and a few days last week apart from my two fasts I was eating around 800 cals on non fast days and we went out fot dinner for my grandsons 11th birthday had cake as well so may be thats why I have gained so much this week.
When I look in the mirror I just see a fatty looking back at me :-( I also wish I could afford to have a tummy tuck because mine is horrible in my eyes thats after having 4 children. I supose this is just a rant really as not been getting my walking in at the moment!!!! even though I have a treadmill in the shed down the garden I asked my hubby to bring it in the house and he says NO grrrr.
Just wish it was easy to keep my weight off and would like to get to 9 and a half stone its harder to keep it off nowand going food shoppimg tomorrow and MUST not buy sweets. Ok moan over
You're allowed a moan, it's what we're here for. I'm also up, 74kgs today shockingly. We'll chalk it up to shank-end of Winter shall we? Hang on in there with me, here, hold hands and we'll jump into Spring and better times (and weights).

Hi,
Everyone has days (or weeks) like you describe - the main thing is just to accept that some days you're going to find it harder than others; write a bad day off and keep going! I had been fat all my life (till I did 5 2) and I am ALWAYS going to have to watch it - I'd love to be able to eat whatever I fancy but realistically know that is a slippery slope to disaster and whilst my partner can eat cake till it's coming out of his ears and not gain, I can't. But these days i have more control over what I eat - and if you've got to 10.3 then so do you! Don't despair :-)
Hi you have done amazingly well to have avoided pizza for a whole year :victory: its a real shame when you have done well all week and put weight on. 800 cals seems very low to me, maybe you're not eating enough although I don't know the science so I may be talking rot  good luck hang in there and I'm sure you will be back losing soon x
I am about your size with the same TDEE. After 11 months of fasting I hit the wall this week too, skipped a fast, and let myself just eat. I've stayed off the scale, but I'm feeling like I need a break. I feel like food has become a bit too fraught and my body is just too hungry. I am not giving up, just relaxing a bit. There is a place for that in long term weight control. I'll still be fasting but not as stringently. My mental health is as important as my physical health.
@mariondot40, I bet there will be quite a few people reading your post and feeling better that they are not the only ones to feel like that. I've certainly been there a lot recently. Keep plodding on, most peoples weight losses are ups and downs.
@mariondot40 I feel exactly the same but it is not only this week but in the last months. I have put on at least one klg and seems to go higher even though I am having the two fast days seriously. It is the non-fast days and my low TDEE that makes it hard to stay at my goal let alone losing weight. But I am hopeful. May be I throw and extra day fast or half day fast in the next couple of weeks and see how I go. So the good thing with 5:2 is that you can hopefully get back to where you were. :clover:
