General 5:2 and Fasting Chat

High cholesterol runs in my family. I have to keep a check on it, but have not had it checked since starting. I am anxious to see how much it has changed.
:razz: I'm wondering if my doctor will look at me like I'm crazy if I as for and IGF-1 test. How common is this test done on people with their physical exams?

I had my cholesterol checked at the 3 month mark. It went from 150 down to 135 mg/dl. That's LDL. It's still high, but at least going in the right direction. (135 mg/dl = 3.5 mmol/L
