That she thinks 5:2 is great and if pushed she will only recommend 5:2 to people now. Having tried it out herself and found that there was no discernible major downsides to it, but plenty of good sides to it.

I also have only one bad thing against me reference cardio health and that's the remaining weight I am carrying. Even my Cholesterol count is good, being below 4.
That's great news about your health check! And it's good to hear some people in the health care world being so positive about 5:2.
Good story on every level. 5:2 rules!
:heart: Brilliant news @Julieathome The health establishment may even catch up eventually.
Blimey that an amazing count on your cholesterol let's hope your surgery date arrives soon because your new year is off to a very good start.
Great news all round :like:
Congratulatins
Looking good Julie - you are prepared! Just need them to pull their finger out and get that date sorted asap :like: :clover:
So what would a bad count be? The figures I have in a nice little print out are:

TC = 5.02
HDL = 1.29
non-HDL = 3.73
TC/HDL = 3.9
all reading in mmo1/L
Ratio TC:HDL 3.89

My blood pressure was a bit high at 124/67. But life and family stress are rather high and I didn't have time to calm myself before she took it.
PS. Hubby has been offered some surgery on his knee, but he had to turn it down till I'm back on my feet as I can't drive till after my operatio. So he can't his operation till then. AND, the radiologist wants me in for a CT scan as something has shown up on my lower back MRI scan now. It never rain but it pours!

PPS. I want to run away fomr home and live in a cave my stress levels are so high. My eldest yesterday threatened to leave home, my daughter is emigrating to Dubai TOMORROW and the youngest WANTS to leave home. Hubby could be getting rather lonely at this rate. Has anyone got a cave to rent, pretty please?
My bp is higher than that & I have a quiet life. My cholesterol was 8.3 last time it was checked too. I wouldn't swap with you but give yourself a big pat on the back for those numbers. (-:

These look good. Did you get a tryglycerides report?
The don't do triglycerides much in the UK, I don't think. Unless you have previous problems. I will ask if they do it at the pre-op. I am nosey enough to ask for all my result tests to be given to me as well as the doc. or could that be paranoid?
:shock: I know a few caves that are probably empty coz you never know at night but I'm thinking it would be to
Bloody cold and damp for you, no the stress will decrease and your hubby needs your company at this moment.
I'd be thrilled to get that BP in the surgery! My white coat syndrome causes nurses who haven't taken it before to to go mental.
Anyway I had my blood tests yesterday so now I await a call from the surgery if there is anything astray. I suspect my cholesterol will be bad but we'll see. Last time it was 6.3.

No. That's a very smart way to do it. If a follow up doc or specialist mentions that they'll need tests X, Y and Z before they can do A, B or C you can reach into your folder and and hand them the reports to be copied.

Being prepared works in your favor.
Don't think your blood pressure is high, top line is usually about 120 so you seem fine. Thinking of you today
