Hungover...
24 Jul 2013, 08:42
Ugh, my head...
I work weekends so when my friend she was going on her work's night out last night I thought "finally, a chance to go out on my 'weekend'!"
WHY, oh WHY did I go?!
I sang on the open mike night and walked home with friends at 1am, plus I have a rubbish headache to boot! But it was a laugh so what the hell

Don't feel hungry so might bang an 8:16 today.

Does anyone ever fast with a hangover, how do you find it? :?:

I'm fasting today and whilst I'm not hungover as such, I did have a few drinks last night and I know I've had them, I'm not quite as alert as usual lol!

So far so good though, black coffee is helping

Glad you had a great night, isn't that the wonderful thing about this plan, that you can let your hair down without the guilt?

Hi Sophieh

I've fasted with a slight hangover before and to my amazement actually managed it. I did have to graze a bit more during the day than I would on a normal fast day. Also the usual increased liquid intake on a fast helped.

Not sure I could do it with one of my normal weekend hangovers  but it is doable

I do remember a couple of Sundays when I realised that fasted with a hangover because I woke up around 4 pm, had an omelette and then went to bed early. I didn't do it on purpose though because I usually like naughty food when I have a hangover.

LOL

I try not to get hangovers. For decades now, I take Vitamin B tabs before I drink (if I know I'm going out to drink), or immediately after I drink (if I didn't know ahead of time). Have not had a hangover in decades. But they don't cure a hangover the next day - just prevent them from happening.

I have to admit, though, I take a lot fewer Bs today than I did a few years ago!

As for fasting while hung over - haven't a clue, but it seems like it is possible. :clover:

Vitamin B huh? How much do you take? Is it proportional to how much you drink?

I get the cheapest B complex (most or all of the Bs they put in pills)I can find. 1 usually does it, but if I know ahead of time and really have a lot, 1 before and 1 after.

Found out about it decades ago when they advertised bourbon and a soft drink I won't name as a mixed drink you could drink all night without getting a hangover. I looked at the soda can and it had B as an ingredient. They took the B out of the soda a long, long time ago, but the lesson was helpful over the years.

Most people don't believe it works - until they try it

I'll try it too! Anything has got to be better than the way I felt when I woke up this morning,

You need "resolve".

For my 40th my colleagues got me pretty drunk.

It was like this, I'd got 3 lawns to mow then I had to get on a aeroplane with folks to Malta.

Well I got up feeling completely useless, took resolve..... I was on a lawn with in an hour. It's that good.

Resolve has been discontinued now but Tesco do an equivalent. Not much good to me as i don't want to touch booze again. I was pleased at the time.

It's in a blue pack IIRC.

Redoxon (sp?) definitely helps...and I discovered it's only 10 calories!

I am hungover.
Did my diet day today and by about 7pm was really hungry but had a big salad and feel fine.
Think it is a bit more difficult with a hangover but just drink loads of water.
