Why oh why do I have this urge to ponder different recipes and look at pictures of food while on a fasting day?
It's like watching food porn. It just makes me hungry, yet it's so difficult to stop. Arg!Image
Do it! I do and then if I have time I make stuff - the actual act of cooking and preparing food is enough sometimes, and then the following day you have a delicious, carefully prepared, lovingly put together, delicious feast for feast day!
I do the same thing, it's like food porn indeed!!!

Clearly we are on the same wavelength. I've just left the Amazon site where I ordered not one but two Mary Berry cookbooks. I then went from there to our 5:2 Forum and what's the first post that catches my eye . . . ? Yep, yours!
I do this too. I find it really helps me get through a fast day and I'm adding to my repertoire of lovely meals to cook on normal days. Win-Win :D
Also guilty. LOL. However, I've got a bit better at looking at HEALTHY food blogs/recipe sites, etc. And I tell myself that whatever it is that's tempting me, I can have it tomorrow
I'm beginning to see two different camps emerge. The first seems to thrive on finding recipes and cooking during a fast, while the other tries (albeit unsuccessful) to stay away from things food related.

Maybe as I progress with this WoL I will not be so affected by drooling over pictures of barbequed ribs or falafels or Chicago Italian beef sandwiches or Tom Kha Gai soup or ... I need to go take a cold shower.
I do it, I can tell it's a fast day just by how many recipe tabs I have open in my browser. :D

I do it in desperation as my fast day foods have got boring.
So the Hairy Dieters cook book came in very handy yesterday.
another food porn addict here. Especially on fast days! I think for me it is wanting really good quality food all the time now and looking for ways to make this happen.
And yes, it includes the special stuff for the weekend. Salted caramel brownies today for eating tomorrow - the tab has been marked on my bookpad for WEEKS!
The Hairy bikers have a second diet book out and its half price in Morrisons.
@julieathome and @janeg - I have the first Hairy Dieters book in front of me on my coffee table and the salted caramel brownies recipe open on my browserrrrrr .... :starving: and of course it's a fast daaaaaay!! :starving: :dazed: :starving: :dazed:
