My new way to do 5:2 (265:100)
10 Jan 2015, 08:18
New to me anyway
Having had several goes at doing 5:2 I have come up with a new plan for 2015
I call it 265:100
I shall restrict myself to 600 calories for 100 days this year
My fast days will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but if I have a good reason for not fasting on one of those days I won't
Lets see how well it works
Good luck with your new plan. It sounds very close to 4:3 and there are quite a few folk doing that. Do keep us updated on your progress. :clover:
Sounds like a very flexible 4:3 :) I like 4:3 and have been following it since 2011 because it's an excellent fit to my sports and social commitments: it's so liveable that I've retained the pattern in maintenance (for a number of reasons).

Good Luck with it and I hope you enjoy your new fasting schedule.
Thanks for the support
My hope is that a very flexible 4:3 will equate to 5:2 over a year
A good start 3 weeks of fasting Monday, Wednesday and Friday and not being that good on off days and I have lost a few pounds
9 down 91 to go
Good to see your update and I'm pleased that your version of 4:3 is showing helpful results.
I like your plan! I struggle with three days, so maybe an extra 600 might do the trick and stop me blosing the third fast!! Good luck with it!
Good luck @Debs Image
I've been doing 4:3 for two weeks now. I really like it. Seems to be the ticket for me. Good luck! You can do this!!!
Another 2.5 pounds off this week - I am down to my lowest weight for about 10 years :victory: . 4:3 is really helping me lose it.
Next week I am down to 5:2 so I will be happy to just maintain
