Hey everyone not been on here for a while. Am coming up to the 2 stone mark but seemed to have slowed down a bot so am looking for a bit of a new year kick start. I was thinking about getting a Nutribullet and introducing one of these for lunch which is usually home made soup or carrots and celery dipped in oxo cub, but don't want it to taste like cold soup. Also does anyone know if they are filling enough and low enough in calories. My lunch is usually 50-70 cals.

Welcome back. Congrats on your weight loss!
My older model bullet is underpowered especially if attemping to make something smooth and creamy. The newer, larger more powerful model may work better.
An open top (or stick) blender works better when blending something hot where you need to relieve the pressure caused by rapidly expanding hot liquid. The bottom placement of the bullet lid and blades makes quite a mess in this situation.

I love my nutribullet because you get all of the fibre and it is fast and easy to clean. I would blend the soup before you cook it, ie blend it up raw and cold with water and then heat it up. Mine blitzed frozen baby carrots yesterday. I was amazed. If you buy a vitamix, the motor is more powerful and so will heat the soup up for you as well
I asked for one for Christmas 2014. Still waiting to receive. lol
Sounds a good idea liz..i bet theyre expensive but from what Karen says,a good investment? And home made veg soup is packed with goodness
