Random 16:8 any good?
18 Dec 2013, 08:20
Hi everyone-

I have been noticed that a lot of people on this forum are following 16:8. I am thinking that this is something that I can try, but I will not be able to do this every day due to various reasons.

I was wondering if I do 16:8 say once or twice a week, will this have any benifits at all?

Kind regards
pben

Yes a day of 16.8 now and then will always be good. Just a word of caution, don't eat non-stop during your eating window. That said, seeing as you've been doing 5.2, for a while now your food decisions are probably different to this time last year, for example your portions are more than likely smaller and carbs may be reduced. So you will effectively fast from the night before until you break it at about lunch time the following day. There is a great thread on 16.8 which will offer more advice than I can give.

And here is that very thread pben, it is included in my signature and yes, it would be a good thing if you can do it, good luck

I do it when I can (normally midweek). I do think its worth it.

Great, good to know that it is worth the effort! I am trying today (havent had anything yet, and will wait as long as I can for lunch)

Good thing you cautioned me, Careoats, I will remember. It is mainly the wine in the evenings that is the biggest challange ;-) he he!

And thanks, Ballerina for the link. I tried searching the site, with no avail. looking forward to going through the thread(s)
