hi debsie.
i still struggle sometimes on non fast days not to stuff my emotions or feelings down with food. i do know that if i do end up doing that, it's at least with less food than i used to - 1 slice of toast rather than 2 + biscuit + piece of fruit.
it's taken me a few months to start listening to myself properly. if i have a kneejerk reaction to something and head for the kitchen, i stop myself and think "do i really want to eat, or am i upset?" and if i'm upset, then i'll either try and think it through, or distract myself doing something else. doing the fast diet has really helped me recognise if i'm hungry or if it's something else at play.
