General 5:2 and Fasting Chat

I have some recipes from a feature running on 5:2 in the Sunday Times a few weeks back. They're good and tasty recipes but I am v suspicious of the calorie count - does anyone know how accurate (or not) they are please? For example, a salad of rocket, cucumber, green beans, peas, a few cherry tomatoes, 2tsp vinaigrette and 100g of parma ham they make to be 200 cals .....
Thank you
I don't think that's right. Caloriecount.about.com says 28g of parma ham is 80 calories.
Was the recipe not for 2 servings?
No - I kept checking and checking, suspecting that but they clearly say which ones are for two.
Then either the amount of parma ham in the ingredients is a typo or the serving should be for more than one person (also a typo) or the calorie count is a type.

A lot of recipe calories have to be taken as estimates and items weighed yourself to be precise.............and a lot of mistakes are made in print! For example some recipes will include 'one potato' or a 'handful of peas' - how can they possibly be clear on the calorie count for that. I see this a lot and it frustrates me!

I weigh and measure everything on a fast day to be absolutely sure I am as accurate as can be. That way you can also alter the amount of certain ingredients if you want to increase or decrease the calorie count.

I don't trust recipes only the NV's on packaging.
