Has anyone else noticed that they ignore hunger pangs easier on 'normal' food days? A case in point is that on Sunday we had a family birthday lunch which was organised for 2.30pm. At 12pm I had a few hunger pangs, and in the past I would have eaten something (especially when mother in law was offering food around). But this time I said no, I was fine and would wait for the meal. After 15 mins the hunger pangs went and it was nearly 3pm by the time the first course arrived, and I survived!

Looking back over the last few weeks I realised that my attitudes towards eating have started to change. I no longer feel as though I have to eat at set times, and I don't worry if my tummy rumbles in complaint :like:

Of course I am eating some chocolate as I type this
I've noticed the same thing, sometimes I seem to quite enjoy the hunger! That said, probably half the time I give in and let myself have something, even if it's fruit instead of chocolate :) Not that I tend to feel hungry often on a feed day anyway - maybe late afternoon and that's about it.

Great isn't it? :D
I've found that I've got quite good at delaying lunchtime. I used to want my lunch at 12pm on the dot, but now I don't mind waiting until 2pm some days. The plus side of this is that I don't snack around 4pm, and just wait for my tea. So I must be saving calories :)
Same here! I used to eat something the minute I felt the slightest bit hungry - normally reaching for a biscuit or something equally sugary to 'see me through'. Now I have much more patience - especially if I know I'm going for a big lunch/dinner, etc.
I also had a really bad habit of eating just in case I got hungry later... not any more!
Even though the weight loss is a big attraction to this 'WOL' for me (wedding in June!), I have to admit, getting back in touch with my appetite has been the biggest benefit so far :)
