Apparently eating too much fiber is bad for your body

On this website

it says Side effects of eating fiber in excessive amounts differ from individual to individual, but gaining weight is the most common result. This is because foods that are rich in fiber are also jam-packed with carbohydrates. Eating fiber in meals rich in whole mean bread, rice and cereals is a healthy choice, but a diet filled with too many healthy choices leads to perfectly unhealthy weight gain.

Oh la la!!!Now I'm scared to eat my 3 to 4 fruits a day
Anything is bad for you in too great a quantity, even water! Even though we are learning more and more about the way the body works, it's still a very complicated system, and what helps one thing can hinder another. "Everything in moderation" still seems to be the best general dietary advice as far as I can tell.
It seems that as with most ill-defined conditions, constipation is a complicated thing... http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/ind ... and-facts/
Without being too graphic, my tum doesn't do high fibre- All Bran and even too much cabbage has, erm, lets say, side effects! Moderation is key :0)
This is quite interesting and there are lots of other relevant links further down the page:-
