Digital Scale suggestions
06 Apr 2013, 04:30
I am in the US and I've about had it with my digital scale (it's variable, displays a different weights if moved). I've been using my old scale, but my 40+ year old eyes are having a hard time reading the numbers. I'm not adverse to spending some money, but would like to keep it under 200.00 bucks if that's possible. Can you get a decent scale for that? Are the scales that measure your fat accurate enough to be worth the money?

Thanks,

Jen

Hi Jenm and welcome!

There was a thread about fat% scales here a little while ago - link is here. I thought the Tanita scales recommended by Susan (Franglaise) sounded pretty good although I haven't actually bought them. I looked at some reviews which said they were consistent and accurate. I would imagine they are available in US as well as Europe. They are not the cheapest though.

I haven't come across any strong recommendations for straightforward weighing scales. I think the truth is they are all of dubious accuracy and reliability.
