Hi peeps!
I just discovered that I MIGHT have the wrong calorie count for my cream cheese and I might have eaten above 500 by around 24 calories.
I understand that it's not much but it Made me feel very frustrated and I want to shout:
AIN'T IT LAME WHEN THEY DON'T PUT THE NUTRITION INFO ON THE PACKAGES AND WE HAVE TO PLAY GUESS??? :curse:
I'm sure half the time my calorie count is way off guesstimates due to livestrong's version of counting. Best to overestimate generally. Good luck but don't sweat the small stuff!
How much can you overestimate a TS of low fat cream cheese with yoghurt?
Anyway, I put it down to experience but it really is a bummer when they don't put the nutrition on the packages!
I will probably not be able to live in a place with no nutritional info on food... How common or uncommon is it in Greece to have nutritional info on groceries?
It's fairly common. I rarely see a product without nutrition info (although until now I looked only for sugar and fat, not for calories).
I think I have gone over on all my fasts. But still 7 pound down. Don't worry to much. A few extra is not too bad :-)
I'm too much of a control freak. Even if it's not my fault that I went over (if I did, I'm not sure) I can't stop thinking about it!
Even the book says not to worry if you go a bit over. At Christmas I had more like 650 cals for my fasts for two weeks. Considering how much I ate on my feed days and that I didn't start my fasts until morning instead of after dinner, I still lost half a pound over those weeks. It's pretty forgiving!
This is good to know :-)
I go over but due to my piggery not labeling :>) however there are no labels on veggies so u do have to guess - what is a medium cauliflower or carrot? So most of the food I eat is not processed so guessing is the only way to go.
Yes but veggies can be weighed. It's easier to weigh a carrot or lettuce or tomato than to guess.

As I said, I'm not worried that 24 calories will make a difference. I'm just frustrating that although I had everything under control, I made a mistake and it wasn't even my fault...
Dear TML I know what you are going through. Only a true control freak like me can empathize.
It's OK time will mend your frustration. by next week this will be negligible and forgivable.
