Normal eating plan needed!
18 Apr 2013, 07:27
Help please! I am fine with the fasting days but after years of yoyo dieting I am really struggling to think what to eat on my eating days. I would like to come up with some ideas for fairly healthy "normal" menu ideas for the rest of the week.

Hello
I am just starting to figure this out myself as well, but the typical things I have on non fasting days (disregarding the odd takeaway) are:
Breakfast - seem to be very drawn towards fruit at the moment, so some strawberries, a banana, some natural yogurt. Or porridge / toast.
Lunches - sandwich, soup, jacket potato
Suppers - stir fry / spaghetti bolognaise / casserole / good sausages, mash & veg / risotto.

I have the hairy dieters cookbook & have been eyeing up some of the recipes for non fast days as well.

It's all a bit of trial and error really. I try and think about what I really want to eat then go for that - it's quite liberating not having to 'diet' 5 days a week.
The main thing I am trying is not snacking so I'm properly hungry when I do eat, then I eat slowly & enjoy it more. I often find I'm full before I finish what I would have considered a normal portion in the past.

This is me too..I'm spending a few weeks not stressing about 'normal' and see if it just falls into place. Yesterday I made choc chip cookies for the kids....who was I kidding they were yum and right back on my fast today.
