So unfair!
29 Apr 2013, 10:57
OH and I are fasting today. He has just spent 2 weeks at the famous Betty's cookery school in Harrogate, eating butter, cream, chocolate, pastry, you name it (and having such a fab time too really recommend this as a special 60th birthday pressie), and has put no weight on. Meanwhile I've been at home looking after two businesses, all our horses, dogs chickens, cats and smallholding, doing my fast days religiously, and have lost no weight at all! Why is it so much easier for men to lose weight and stay slim?

Yes it is unfair! I guess the only upside is you didn't gain any... And you will be able to eat the fruits of his labours 5 days out of 7!

Because being a woman is a thankless job - but someone's gotta do it ;)

Seriously though, sounds like a fab place to go for a foodie experience, lucky man. Aren't we females geared up to hold more weight naturally anyway - something to do with those small people we generate?

I'm a pastry chef and that cookery school sounds like great fun!

I have had a similar situation with my OH. I started 5:2 in January and lost a stone in 3 months. He only started last month and has already lost 12 lbs, he'll overtake me soon *jealous* :curse:
