I normally have between 470 and 500 cals a day (on fast days), I think.

Today I'm intending to go through the day, as I still feel fine, so I'll only have dinner.

I've just worked out that for a perfectly satisfying dinner, I will use up 340 cals (that includes allowance for squirt oil, garlic, herbs, and a few cups of herbal tea). Then I might have an apple at 70 cals.

Is there any benefit in this, for weight loss? Or am I just short changing myself?
It is perfectly. O.K. To have less than 500 Cals as it said in the book (I think) up to 500 for women . Even if you keep those Cals in your me mouthy bank for another weaker day. Hope it goes well for you .
I quite often only have 200-300 cals for my fasting meals now, the loss is much slower these days but this seems to help it along a bit :) I don't go hungry, don't get me wrong - I have plenty of lovely veggies and a bit of meat for those cals!
