I wont call it a feast day, it just confuses me more. Because its extreme to fasting I feel like I'm over eating when in fact I may not be.

I did a spin class and burned 600 calories.

Today out of a fast I had 2 round crumpets one with butter the other with honey. I had a 'be good' bar. Couple of seaweed crackers with beetroot dip. Bowl of homemade chicken soup, I kebab of chicken, small broccoli, peas corn, grilled large mushroom with garlic butter and cheese melted on top, a milky coffee, 5 cups of skim milk tea, 2 bottles of water, bowl of low fat yogurt, blueberries strawberries and few grapes and sprinkle of cereal. Have I gone over, I feel like I have, oh and I had 2 heaped teaspoons of homemade chocolate ganache. yep I've gone over, would you agree?

I feel better when I'm fasting but when I'm in it, its hard.
Well I tried to tot it up and it came to (very roughly) 1550 calories which isn't overeating, especially if you burned 600 calories in exercise.

Crumpets 285
Be good bar 150
Crackers & dip 50
Soup 40
Chicken, broccoli, peas, corn 250
Mushroom + butter + cheese 250
Milky coffee 50
5 teas 25
Yoghurt 150
Berries 100
Grapes & cereal 100
Ganache 100
Total 1550

Obviously a lot of guesses here not least the be good bar which I have never heard of...
Eat your normal food such as you list on non-fast days.
If I feel like I have overeaten I do another fast day, last week too many frangipane vol au vonts as per Anna Olson.
Normally I eat nothing on Wednesdays and Fridays, but add Saturday or Monday on.
For the first 3 weeks I had a last meal at about 8 in the evening, nothing all the next day, and on the following day had breakfast at about 10 in the morning.
Didn't realize that was actually over 35 hours fasting.
Some people do 2pm to 2pm the next day, now that is 24 hours.
You will lose weight even if you have a few calories on fast days, my 23 year old has 500 calories on fast days and is still shedding weight.
This to me seems like eating not fasting but the weight is still dropping off. She was 5" 4" and nearly 14 stone!!!
This system just works, although the first few fasts are hard.
Just persevere it really is worth it.
urb- thats how I fast about 33hours. At the moment its really hard for me to get through, I know its a mental thing, but right now I can't had an extra day until I can handle the whole 500 cals in 33hrs. thanks for the support.

Thanks for that dominic.
A 'be good bar' is something from Aldi thats a low fat cereal bar, tasty and not over sweet compared to others.

Once I get over the 'OMG I'm fasting and think yeah, I'm fasting, I might not get so excited about normal days
I just wish I could see food as a means to stay alive, some people do and they are slim.
Actually it is not 500 calories in 33 hours. It's 500 calories from when you wake up to when you go to bed. If you can get a lie in and/or a nap and/or go to bed early, it's 500 calories in anything from 14 to 18 hours, it can't be more than that...
^^unless you stop eating a bit earlier the day prior to a fast, it can be lengthened. That's my understanding anyways. For example skipping dinner, and consuming your 500 the next day at dinner time which might equate to 24hrs being in a true fasted state with just liquids.

To the OP, I think what might be hindering you might be the snacking which should be set to a minimum. -'ve estimated it ur intake to be around 1800 to factor in your cooking oils, cheese et al.

Eating 2-3 square meals and a treat would provide more structure on a day to day basis- with the occasional blow out ofcourse.

On the plus side your eating is really good IMO, but snacking always leads to more snacking lol. Perhaps drop the sugary drinks and sugar content and increase your water/protein intake. Thirst is often mistaken as hunger.

Lastly have more confidence. After all you are in control of what you eat and with the help of fasting two days a week, I'm positive you've learned to work around ur hunger ques- be it real or imagined. Think of feed days as an opportunity to eat more cleaner without being constrained to eating low calorie alternatives to your favorite meals. It is a diet at the end of the day (if ur attempting to lose weight) despite its flexibilty lol.

Good luck!

I think the discipline of having to be super aware of fasting and then the freedom days (to a point) does play with your head.

I use the my fitness pal ap just at present to learn the calorie content. It is telling me I am not eating enough on some of my feed days and has a spack attack when I am on liquid fast days as that brings my calories in rather low. You can also factor in your exercise with MFP

It's all a learning curve and it would seem takes a bit to get our heads around
