6:1 or 2 consecutive days?
03 May 2013, 17:29
Hi, next week due to various social commitments I can't fit in 2 non-consecutive Fast days. So my dilemma for next week is whether to do a one day Fast on Wednesday or 2 consecutive days Wednesday and Thursday.
I'm mainly in this for the weight loss at the moment.Any advice would be much appreciated

I have never tried it (only been doing this 4 weeks), but I've read a lot of posts. Some have problems doing 2 in a row, others don't.

Here is how I would approach it. Prepare for 2 days of fast, but listen to your body especially on the second day. If things go south, go ahead and eat. If I did eat, I would try to keep it a low cal day say 900-1200 cal. I would still have lower calories that day and I would have felt as though I had accomplished a half-fast day!

In the end it is your choice, and if you choose to eat, it does not mean you have failed the plan, you have just taken an alternative route!

Wise advice from Debbie, I did 2 days consecutive once for similar reasons and found it quite hard. I managed it but didn't choose to repeat the experience. See how you go and good luck Sian!

Thanks to you both, I I will do day 1 then try for day 2 and see how it goes. The worst that can happen after all is that I eat something

I've also done 2 consecutive days a couple times and it is fairly hard by the 2nd day...don't know if it's just in my head or not. Don't sweat it if you miss a day, I've only done 1 fast a few weeks, it's no big deal. Another option is to do 3 days the following week if you really feel bad about it. I've done that a few times also.
