Disruptive Sleep
17 May 2013, 06:07
Since starting the 5:2 my sleeping has been so disruptive. I can go to bed relatively tired, I doze off, then PING its like someone switches the on ON!I do eventually go back to sleep, but some occasions I stay awake for over an hour or more. Im up usually early everyday so I don't feel like I get caught up on sleep?
These aren't just fast days but normal days as well?

Is anyone else experiencing this, or am I just weird, with way too much on my mind?!! :dazed:

Hi jojo, I'm not a great sleeper though I haven't found post-fast nights any worse - but others have. I suggest you review a couple of topics which have covered this area:

Hungry and sleep deprived!
The nightmare of insomnia

More generally, the google custom search (on the left below the User Menu) is your friend! Try 'sleep'. So much great info here! Good luck and hope you have better nights soon...

Hi
Yes, I sleep badly and fast nights have been really, really bad. My husband who usually drops off as his touches the pillow, has also found it hard to sleep on fast nights. I have been told (on here) that things will settle down as the body adjusts, and last night was the first good "post fast night" sleep I have had. could be because I didn't sleep well the night before, but hey, I slept! Hopefully it will settle down for you soon
