Hangovers
19 May 2013, 09:55
Has anyone noticed an effect on hangovers since starting 5:2?

I used to brag about never getting hangovers, my trick was to drink a litre of water before going to bed to re-hydrate myself. Since starting 5:2 though I've suddenly started to get hangovers despite doing the old water trick.

Any idea why?

Hi FatDan,

I find I get 'tiddly' more quickly but then as I've lost quite a bit of weight I have less body mass to absorb what I do drink. I find, like a lot of other folk on here, that I drink less now anyway, just as I eat less and am happier and feel better for it.

I'm sure people like Caroline et al will be able to give you the scientific/biological reasons behind your hangovers, I am only an authority on handbags! Sorry
