When I miss a fast day I try to compensate - not eat until dinner, up my exercise, skip breakfast, eat light lunch, drink more water and green tea - any of these that I can fit in to my schedule. I actually lost most weight the week where 1 did one fast, and 2 "only dinner" days ( and it was full scale dinner with wine and dessert)
Its all planning. I went back to Singapore for 2 weeks and it was the first time I never gained anything! I usually put on about 2 kgs. I ate everything I wanted to eat and drank all the drinks I usually avoid. How I managed? If I knew it will be dinner that day, I skipped breakfast, have a light lunch and tasted everything I wanted to but stopped eating once I am full. I never stuffed myself silly. I had an enjoyable time and got to spend time with food among my family and friends.

This week I am having people over on my fast day and it totally put me out of whack but I decided to mini fast as I call it. Skip breakfast and lunch and have a light dinner.

When there are days where I really do not want to eat a lot (hubby is the eat 6 meals a day and wants me to do the same) I'll tell him my tummy is being wonky and I need a rest from all the eating and need to eat healthy/light. No one will force someone with a tummy bug to over it!
