When to fast advice
12 Jun 2013, 09:40
Hi

Quick question.

Does the 5:2 work better if you have fast days close together (few days apart) or leave a big gap (one start of week, one end of week)
Or does it not make a difference?

Any thoughts?

Karen

Hi Karen, I have fasted on Mondays and Thursdays since beginning 5:2 (in March) and I find it really suits me to fast just before the weekend and immediately after it as weekends often include extra treats. Working really well so far!

Hi Karen - As with so many things here on this forum - you'll find a way that works for you. I think a lot of us on here fast Mondays and Thursdays, but there are a few I believe who do the fast days back to back (I'm not man enough for that I'm afraid  ). I'd agree with AiriR in that after and before a weekend really seems to work well for me. Good luck, play around with the days and see what suits you :clover:

Hiya.

I started yesterday and I might stick with Fasting back to back. Now in saying that, like i said, I only started so that could change next week. I like the idea of fasting one day and leaving a day gap and fasting again. I might try it.

Each to their own. Suit whatever suits you best.
