Change of fasting day
03 Feb 2013, 17:54
Decided to fast today instead of tomorrow. I didn't get up until 11 am ( disgraceful) and ,as a large part of the day was over and I had eaten a lovely meal last night with wine etc.it seemed the best thing to do. I am now looking forward to a non fast Monday . I wont do every Sunday but it just seemed a good day to do today.

I've been fasting every Sunday and I've got to say it works better for me.

I know in the past that I would eat normally on a Friday and Saturday (day), then eat a takeaway on Saturday night and for some reason Sundays then just seemed to be non stop snacking.

So I chose Sunday initially to counteract the previous night's takeaway, to stop myself from pigging out all day and also because any side effects are easier to deal with if I'm not at work. Plus as you said, if you get up later in the morning, you're still getting the benefit of those calorie free hours but you don't feel it the same.

My other fast day so far has been Tuesday and whilst that one is more difficult, it means I have a fair gap before the next weekend fast (I'm thinking some weeks I may try to add a Thursday too). I'm on my fifth week and have lost half a stone, with most weeks just being a pound off but this is one of the only diets I've had the willpower to stick to. Hope I can keep it up, would like another stone off for summer. Good luck everyone.

I've managed an unscheduled fast before now, just the way the day went I ended up hardly eating. Didn't think to swap that for my fast day, oh well.

Have a good non fast day.

I should have fasted today as ate out last night and felt bloated today.

A day sipping tea would have been a good idea.

Why didn't I think of that? Doh!
